Case Study: Careers in Nonprofits

When Careers in Nonprofits, a full-service staffing firm that works exclusively with nonprofit organizations out of offices in Chicago, Atlanta and Washington D.C., needed a more cost effective solution for hosting their Microsoft Exchange email server they turned to Morgan Birge for the answer. Because Careers In Nonprofits was already an IT maintenance customer of Morgan Birge’s we had intimate knowledge of their IT infrastructure and we were a natural fit to help them find a solution for hosting their Microsoft Exchange email.
Our IT sales engineer worked with the operations and management team at Careers In Nonprofits to find an email hosting solution that would meet the operational needs of Careers In Nonprofits and fit in their budget. After a series of meetings it was determined that a Microsoft Office 365 hosted Exchange solution met Careers In Nonprofits operational needs and greatly reduced their monthly costs when compared to their existing hosted email provider.
Our Microsoft Exchange technician and IT project manager worked with Careers In Nonprofits to develop an implementation plan that would transition them from their existing hosted email provider to Microsoft Office 365 over the course of two weeks. Our Exchange technician setup a test group of users on the Office 365 Exchange platform and migrated their data first to ensure that the transition went smoothly for beta users before the entire company migrated to the new Office 365 solution.
Upon completion of the Office 365 Exchange migration, Morgan Birge’s IT support team did regular follow ups with the operations and management team at Careers In Nonprofits to ensure that the new Office 365 Exchange solution met their expectations and to deal with any issues that arose after the transition. As an IT maintenance customer Careers In Nonprofit had the added peace of mind that their migration to a cloud-based Office 365 solution would be managed by Morgan Birge. Also, as an IT maintenance customer they knew that all the ongoing administration of the Office 365 solution would be handled by Morgan Birge, ensuring that their staff could focus solely on their mission to connect the best people with the best causes.
